Silver Sneakers

SilverSneakers allows you to get fit the way you want, at your convenience. With this innovative program you can:

  • Use the entire Watertown Area YMCA facility plus, take SilverSneakers classes
  • Have guidance and assistance from a certified instructor
  • Enjoy fun social activities with people like you

The Silver Sneakers Fitness Program is FREE for qualified seniors.  Check with your insurance agent to see if you qualify. 

 

Classic (Muscle Strength, Range of Motion):

Improves overall strength and flexibility.
Monday/Wednesday/Friday    9:30-10:30 am
Location: Fitness Studio
 

Yoga Stretch:

Improves flexibility & joint range of motion.
Thurs    9:30-10:30 am
Location: Fitness Studio

Active Older Adults

 

A great fitness routine starts with a fun, social atmosphere for AOA’s to get to know one another while doing something good for mind, body and spirit - helping you stay healthy and independent.

 

AOA PI-YO:

This class includes a longer warm-up, improves musle strength, endurance and flexibility.
*Some portions of this class are done on the floor.

AOA Circuits:

Circuit station exercises are a fun social atmosphere for Active Older Adults to get to know one another while a fitness instructor helps you with form and function.  Do something good for your mind, body and spirit to keep fit and independent. 
Wednesdays 9:30 -10:30 am
Location: North Commons
 

AOA Cardio Blast

Get your heart rate up using a variety of cardio machines. End with core work and stretching. 
Mondays & Fridays 9:30 - 10:30am
Location: Cardio Center  
 

Table Games

Dominos, cards and board games are played Monday-Friday from 10:30-Noon on the tables in the hallway. All are welcome to join.
